Reaction games
3 games about timing, where a round is over in seconds and starting another one is a single tap.
The games
These are the only games on the site where the clock is the point. Everywhere else a timer would be unfair. Here it is the whole measurement, so the rounds are deliberately tiny and there is always a way straight back in, because the interesting part of a reaction test is the tenth attempt rather than the first.
Go too early and the round restarts. Nothing is lost. That is the whole penalty.
None of them can be paused. That is not an oversight. Pausing a reflex test pauses the thing being measured, so the honest version of that button is no button at all. The two games on this site that do have one are the ones with a board you can walk away from and come back to, which is a different situation entirely.
Common questions
How long is a round?
Seconds. These are the shortest games here by a wide margin, which is what makes them the ones to open while a kettle boils.
Why can I not pause?
Because the timer is what the game measures. A pause button on a reaction test is a control that either does nothing or spoils the result.
Do they keep a record?
Yes, per difficulty. In these games a lower number wins, and the leaderboards know that, so the fastest reaction sits at the top rather than the slowest.
